At SIMI 2024, Covivio was honoured to receive two awards for two of its emblematic projects: L’Atelier, Paris 8th district, Covivio’s new European headquarters, won in the ‘Restructured office building’ category, and Grands Boulevards, in the 9th district of Paris, received the special ‘Heritage and Renaissance’ award. These two awards recognise the Group’s vision, expertise and ability to design unique, service-oriented, high-performance projects.
This project reflects all Covivio’s expertise, values and culture.
L’Atelier has been designed to encourage teamwork, creativity, concentration and learning. Located in the heart of the Paris CBD, L’Atelier is a complex comprising two buildings: a 1910-1920 building on rue de Madrid, linked to a second building dating from the 1930s on rue d’Edimbourg.
The site reflects Covivio’s different office offerings: space under commercial lease (for the part occupied by Covivio’s teams), space under a service contract (with 72 Wellio workstations), event space and meeting rooms that can be hired à la carte (for any audience), all with a common service base.
Last but not least, L’Atelier is also a benchmark in terms of the environment, and to this end it has been awarded a number of prestigious labels and certifications: HQE Excellent, BREEAM Excellent, BiodiverCity, Osmoz, BBCA Rénovation (Bâtiment Bas Carbone). An audit is currently under way to obtain the Effinergie Patrimoine label, an experimental label supported by Certivéa, as well as the R2S 2-star label.
This ‘Renaissance & Heritage’ award recognises the quality of Covivio’s landmark Parisian heritage building. This early 20th century building boasts a majestic cupola, monumental arches and a ceiling height of over 7 metres.
Located on the corner of Rue Bergère and Rue du Faubourg-Poissonnière, this building, which has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1999, is steeped in history, first as a former telephone exchange (known as ‘Provence’ and then ‘Bergère’), then as a post office.
Today, awaiting renovation, Grands Boulevards stands out for its use: Covivio has chosen to make the space available to players in the creative industry to host events, fashion shows, art exhibitions and residencies, including that of 4 female entrepreneurs who have taken over the premises to renew their creative approach and share their research on the future of work with Covivio.
This innovative and unprecedented approach makes Grands Boulevards a laboratory building, enabling Covivio to enrich its thinking on the workspaces of tomorrow, to best meet the expectations of its customers, and helping to make the building a place open to the city.
