A former postal sorting centre completely refurbished by architect Alexandre Chemetoff, Cité Numérique (“Digital City”) occupies a core position in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region’s digital economy where the entire local and national tech ecosystem may be found. Bearing the French Tech label, Cité Numérique covers an area of nearly 33,500 m² including 8,500 m² of outdoor spaces.

20,000 m² of offices, 3,000 m² of Wellio flexible spaces and 2,000 m² of service facilities: Cité Numérique is a vast ecosystem attracting start-ups, incubators, leading digital companies and public structures alike. The Cité’s location near Bordeaux Saint-Jean railway station is an ideal starting point for travelling throughout France and interacting with other European countries.

Wellio Bordeaux Cité Numérique
Covivio has chosen Cité Numérique to set up its fifth Wellio site spanning over 3,000 m². Customisable private offices, co-working workstations, event and meeting spaces, etc. Wellio Bordeaux Cité Numérique offers over 300 workstations that can be booked à la carte.
The design by Studios Architecture draws inspiration from the industrial loft concept, focusing on transparency and volume.
Wellio Bordeaux Cité Numérique also offers the “Académie”, a fully modular space dedicated to sharing and networking, suitable for all types of events including seminars, after-work get-togethers and temporary exhibitions.

Supporting artistic creation
As a signatory of the “1 building, 1 piece of art” Charter, Covivio supports artistic creation with a view to making it accessible to as many people as possible. As such, a fresco entitled “Expansion” created by artist Lx.one was installed in the Wellio Bordeaux Cité Numérique lobby. Inspired by the geometry of the building, its lines fan out, diverge and converge again, stimulating the mind and creating an optical vibration effect along the wall.
