Acquired by Covivio in 2007, this former office building is part of Padua's historic heritage.

Located in the city centre, between Via Zabarella and Via S. Biagio, Ca’ del Chiostro originally housed a convent dedicated to San Bernardino in the mid-15th century.

During the Napoleonic period, it was used as a military barracks, and between 1827 and 2009 housed the headquarters of the Intendenza di Finanza. By the end of 2025, Ca’ del Chiostro will be a residential complex comprising around fifty exclusive, elegant flats ranging in size from 100 m² to 300 m².

Drawing on its residential expertise developed over a number of years in Germany and France, Covivio decided to redevelop in Padua one of its office buildings in a central urban residential area.

Ca’ del Chiostro will offer a wide range of residential accommodation, with 5 different types of flat: from the Urban Suite on two floors with a living area opening onto a private garden, to the Domus Urbana, like a Villa in the city, spread over three floors with a double entrance and private garden, and the Comfort Home with two and three-bedroom flats with terraces. As for the Palazzetto Nobile, it will retain certain elements of the former monastery, such as Gothic-style windows and frescoes. It will consist of a single flat of more than 700 m² with private garden, garage and independent entrance. Finally, a Penthouse will offer single-storey flats in the newly-built wing with a large terrace.

Enhancing our heritage

This project is fully in line with Covivio's commitment to transforming former offices into housing, while at the same time respecting the historical and architectural value of the building.

Contemporary lifestyle

Ca' del Chiostro is able to offer residents all the main services and amenities that characterise contemporary living.

Quality of life

All the homes will be built around an internal cloister that follows the line of the convent's historic courtyard, giving residents the chance to enjoy a private garden.
